Career Experience

I've been working with for 19 months and counting! I've been tutoring mathematics independently since around 2001 (algebra, trigonometry, and calculus). I've held a variety of jobs over the years - from a graduate teaching assistant (instructing calculus labs), to an assistant accountant (keeping records for a partnership), to delivering furniture. I've yet to come across a job quite as rewarding as tutoring/teaching.

I Love Tutoring Because

I struggled with mathematics early on in grade school, but I found the challenge inviting. Turning those Fs and Ds into As gave me a sense of accomplishment and pride that was lacking in my younger years. My one hope in all of this is that any struggling student I tutor/teach will someday feel this same sense of accomplishment I experienced. Every time there is a breakthrough regarding my students' comprehension, and I have something to do with it, I relive this same sense of accomplishment through them. This is from where my love for tutoring stems.

The only thing I would say that could make this better is if you could copy and paste.

I am a 50 yr old student. And most of the math I have never had to take. Now that I have to it is hard to explain I don't understand. And the tutor get frustrated I do to
